REAL DIAPER ASSOCIATION NEWS: Volume 2, 18 AUG 2004
The Real Diaper Association has been open for a week and we are
just beginning our cultural shift.
We have 26 members training to be Leaders, and we already have one
approved Leader who will be creating her Real Diaper Circle soon. If
you are in Western Washington, keep your eyes peeled!
What are the organizers doing now? We are working on the
layout of our pamphlets, which will be available to download and print
out, and will be available for purchase in larger quantities by Circles.
We are finishing a Handbook for Circle Leaders. We are writing
curriculum for basic diapering classes. |

Thank you to our members for submitting
photos. See image submission guidelines here. |

Each of us is also answering
many emails that we receive daily. Also, we never stop brainstorming
new ways the Real Diaper Association can promote real diapers.
What are we doing with membership funds? Right now we have
used membership funds to purchase paper and ink for membership cards.
If you have joined, watch your mailbox; if you haven't, please join!
We are saving most of the money to pay a lawyer to assist us with
incorporation and tax-exempt status, so that all future donations to the
Real Diaper Association will be tax deductible. Do you know a
nonprofit lawyer that would like to help RDA? Please let us know by
contacting Rose at
rose@realdiaperassociation.org.

What are we adding online?
We are building mini-websites for Real Diaper Circles that will be
hosted by RDA. These websites will provide information about each
Circle -- when and where they meet, pictures of meetings, and descriptions
of advocacy events. We are also creating forums. One is for
businesses, one for Circle Leaders to share ideas, and one for members to
find out if there are other members local to them.
DID YOU KNOW that one of our members was not allowed to enter a
baby gym until her baby was put into a disposable diaper because of fear
of disease? The only way to stop misinformation like this is to
educate people about real diapers. We need to work together to make
sure that this doesn't happen to anyone else! What can you do to
help? JOIN! If you have not joined the Real Diaper
Association, please do so. We cannot create a cultural shift towards
real diapers without members. Those of us volunteering to build RDA
are just the organizers -- our members are the activists. RDA
provides the tools and support in order to help you make a change.
Join us, and together we can educate people about real diapers.
The Real Diaper Association is organized so that we can help our Circles
and our members. We are here for you. If you have any
questions or concerns, please contact us at
info@realdiaperassociation.org.
Thank you for supporting the Real Diaper Association!

The Search Engine Crawl
As all website owners know ... search engine placement is a critical
component of getting recognized on the world wide web. No matter the
importance of the message or website content, without Search Engine
placement, the exposure is limited and the message is stifled.
The Real Diaper Association has been created for optimal search engine
placement. Even before we opened our doors, the Search Engines were
looking for us through strategically placed links across the web.
Within 6 days RDA has been picked up by the major search engines, thanks
to dynamic text linkage and faithful new members who are proudly
displaying RDA banners and text links on their websites.
Help us help you ... the more people we reach across the world wide
web, the larger we can grow and the faster we can meet our objective -
more babies in REAL DIAPERS. Go here to choose a text link, banner
-- or better yet, a text link AND banner -- to place at your site.
