RDA RECEIVES TAX EXEMPTION!!
We just received confirmation that on July 7, 2005, the IRS determined RDA to be tax exempt under 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue code.

Renewable. Reusable. Recyclable. This month the Real Diaper Association releases our "Why Choose Cloth Diapers" Advocacy Plan which focuses on educating children on how the 3Rs (renewable, reusable, recyclable) relate to the cloth -v- disposable diapering discussion. In the RDA Mission it is stated that increasing the use of simple, reusable cloth diapers means making cloth diapering accessible and acceptable to U.S. parents. We are taking that one step further by equipping the upcoming generation with the necessary information to make wise decisions for their families.

The "Why Choose Cloth Diapers" Advocacy Plan is an educational tool. It is intended to be used with school-age children and is designed to meet the requirements of different settings; for instance, a homeschool unit, a public school classroom, the local library, or your community center. In it you will find step-by-step guidelines for implementing different activities, downloadable resources, supplies lists needed for the various activities, and suggestions for implementing the Advocacy Plan.

Frequently Asked Questions on Membership Renewal. RDA is one month away from its one year anniversary of going live online. With membership renewals approaching, there have been a few questions regarding the how, what, when, and where of renewing individual and business memberships. If your question has not been adequately answered below, please contact us so we can answer it.

Q: How can I renew my RDA account?

A: To renew Business or Individual Memberships, log-in to your Membership Account via the Membership Log-In area in the top left menu bar on any page of the website. (If you do not remember your password or your username contact us and we will send it to you.) Once you are in your member area, scroll to the bottom of the page and click the button, 'Renew Account.' Follow the prompts, updating any information along the way as you desire.

Q: What will happen if I renew my membership before it expires?

A: Your account will renew from the expiration date forward. Logging in to renew before your membership expires WILL NOT cut short your current membership.

Q: How can I find out when my membership expires?

A: To find out when your Business or Individual Membership expires, log-in to your Membership Account via the Membership Log-In area in the top left menu bar on any page of the website. (If you do not remember your password or username, contact us and we will send it to you.) Once you are in your member area, look in the Member Properties box on the left hand side of the View Account window. The 7th row down in the Member Properties box will tell you when your account will expire.

Cloth Diapering Advocacy Tip #4:
Shannon Doan, a cloth diapering activist within her community, and owner of Wildflower Diapers printed out 50 of the RDA "Get Real" pamphlets to leave at her local breastfeeding boutique and natural food market.
