THE ONLY WAY TO CHANGE DIAPERS IS ONE BABY AT A TIME.

The Real Diaper Association, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, provides support and education to parents all across North America for the use of simple, reusable cloth diapers. The goal of the Real Diaper Association is to put more babies in cloth diapers. To do this we aim to create a cultural shift in understanding cloth diapers-their environmental impact, their ease of use, their accessibility, and their acceptability. The Association will help parents understand that cloth diapers are real diapers.

Members of the Real Diaper Association will support reliable scientific and demographic research into health and environmental benefits of cloth diapers.  The Association will then distribute this research to members, local governments, health care providers, environmental organizations, and others.

The Real Diaper Resource Center supports our members and their local Real Diaper Circles with the information and tools they need to spread the use of cloth diapers. Through the Resource Center, RDA plans national campaigns, distributes educational information and sponsors research. Our members have access to the Resource Center through our website, through local Leaders, through our national convention, and through the information we distribute in pamphlets, email lists and other publications.

Through local Real Diaper Circles, the Association organizes members who advocate cloth diapers locally, meeting with new parents face-to-face to make their diapering choice easier.

$3500 in 35 Days
Each donation adds more time that we can keep our Executive Director, who continues to help us spread the word about reusable cloth diapers. ANNOUNCING THE 100% REUSABLE CLOTH DIAPERS CAMPAIGN
The Real Diaper Association announces the 100% Reusable Cloth Diapers Campaign to help parents choose reusable cloth diapers every time, all the time. For the next year we will ask the experts for advice on overcoming any difficulties cloth diapering parents may face. Then we will compile that advice and provide it to parents and caregivers who need support.

You are the experts! Parents who find 100% reusable solutions in every cloth diapering situation have valuable tips and techniques to share with those who are struggling to succeed.

Your advice for using cloth diapers at night and on the road was fantastic, and we have compiled it into two separate tip sheets for anyone who needs them: Tips for Cloth Diapering at Night and Tips for Traveling with Reusable Cloth Diapers.

CLOTH DIAPERS IN DAYCARE
The Real Diaper Association (RDA), in partnership with the Real Diaper Industry Association (RDIA), has launched a Cloth-Diaper-Friendly Daycare Directory. In its first two days, contributors added 50 daycare providers to the directory all across the U.S. and Canada. With your help, the directory will continue to grow, and will serve as a valuable resource for future families searching for daycare providers who use cloth diapers.

As we continue to educate daycares about the use of cloth diapers in their facilities, parents may find this tip sheet for using reusable cloth diapers in daycare to be useful. The tip sheet includes practical advice about finding a daycare provider and talking with them about your diapers, and specific options you could consider to make it work for both of you. It also has links for parents to inform themselves about state daycare regulations and about proper sanitation practices for changing diapers in a daycare facility.

In the last half century, parents have looked for support from experts, from books, from the internet. Sources closer to home have been neglected. Parents, grandparents, friends, and neighbors have been bypassed. Knowledge of how to use cloth diapers has been lost to many people.

In the last two decades, there has been a slow revival of cloth diapering, particularly since the advent of the internet. At the Real Diaper Association, we think those sources closer to home still have the best support to offer. We want to see people face-to-face, talking about what works for them and why. We want to revive cloth diapers by encouraging experienced parents to be the local diapering experts.

Our Mission: The Real Diaper Association is a collective non-profit organization in which parents and small businesses take the lead in creating a cultural shift to increase the use of simple, reusable cloth diapers. We connect current cloth diapering parents to the long history of cloth diapering. Cloth diapers are real diapers. The Association organizes local advocates and activists for cloth diapers through a member-supported resource center which plans campaigns, trains organizers, distributes educational information, supports local groups, and connects users to the Cloth Diaper industry. Local Real Diaper Circles reach users face-to-face with knowledge and tools to make cloth diapering accessible and acceptable to parents, who have the power to change the world one baby at a time.
